When you plan a padel court, the court itself is only one line of the budget. Here is what shapes the total, and what to ask every supplier to put in writing.

Typical cost range

As a general guide, a typical padel court project in the U.S. costs $45,000 to $60,000, including the court, installation and freight. (This range is a general estimate for information only. It is not an offer or a quote, and actual prices vary by court type, site and location. The final price will be stated in your written quote.)

Where you land in that range depends on the factors below. Site preparation, permits, court covers and optional extras may be quoted separately, so ask each supplier what their price includes.

What drives the cost

1. Court type

The Standard, Panoramic and Full Panoramic courts differ in glass thickness, back wall design and structure. A glass-enclosed back with no posts and bolted joints costs more to build than a Standard court. Compare them on our court specifications page.

2. Site preparation

A padel court needs a level, well-drained base, usually a concrete or asphalt slab. The court is 65.6 x 32.8 ft (20 x 10 m). With 5 ft (1.5 m) of clearance on every side, plan for about 75.5 x 42.7 ft, roughly 3,200 sq ft. Soil, slope and drainage can change the cost of the base significantly.

3. Lighting

Evening play needs LED floodlights. A court with 4 or 8 lights on 19.7 ft (6 m) poles meets most recreational needs. Higher light levels and electrical connections add to the budget.

4. Cover

A fixed or retractable cover protects players and extends your playing season, but it is a major structure with its own engineering. Covers are produced and priced for your location. See court covers.

5. Doors, accessories and extras

Double doors, automatic opening, a safety net, scoreboards and cameras are options you can choose now or add later.

6. Freight and installation

Courts are shipped from the manufacturer, assembled and anchored on site. Distance to your site and the number of courts affect the total.

7. Engineering and permits

Wind, snow and seismic loads, and local building rules, depend on your location. Hurricane regions such as Florida need particular attention.

What your quote should include

A low headline price that leaves out freight, turf or installation is not a lower price. Compare complete, installed totals.
