Used Padel Courts for Sale in the USA: Costs and What to Know
Why used courts rarely save money in the U.S.
The sticker price of a used court can look low. The total installed cost is a different story:
- Dismantling and shipping. A court is a steel frame, glass panels and turf. Moving it across an ocean is expensive and carries damage risk, especially for glass.
- Customs and handling. Duties, brokers and port fees add to the bill.
- U.S. code compliance. Courts need engineering for local wind, snow and seismic loads. In hurricane zones such as Florida that means 140 to 160 mph. Glass should meet ANSI Z97.1 or ASTM C1048. An older European court may need to be redone.
- Wear and missing parts. Turf, glass and fasteners age. Replacing them can erase the discount.
- No warranty and no support. If something fails, nobody stands behind it.
If you find a used court locally, inspect these first
- Glass thickness (new courts use 0.39 in / 10 mm tempered glass), chips, cracks and edge damage.
- Frame rust, weld quality and anchor points.
- Turf wear, sand infill level and drainage.
- A full parts list, so nothing is missing at reassembly.
- Engineering and permits for your state and city.
- Who disassembles, who moves it and who rebuilds it, and who is liable if it fails.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy a used padel court in the U.S.?
Used courts occasionally come up from closing clubs and private owners. Padel Craft USA does not currently sell pre-owned courts in the U.S., because moving a used court from Europe is rarely worth the cost.
Are used padel courts cheaper than new ones?
Often not by much once you add dismantling, shipping, customs, re-engineering for U.S. wind, snow and seismic codes, replacement glass and turf, and installation. Compare the total installed cost, not the sticker price.
What should I check on a used padel court?
Glass condition and compliance, frame corrosion and weld quality, turf wear, missing parts, engineering for your state, and whether anyone will honor a warranty.
How much does a new padel court cost?
Price depends on your site, the court type and the number of courts. Contact us with your location and we will send a quote with installed pricing for your state.
